If unattended, I will eat the entire tray.

I love them too, rarely eat them wife hates boiled egg yolks. But my problem is anytime they are around I eat like 4 of them and then I’m stuffed for the actual meal.

I need to make them for breakfast sometime, with smoked salmon would be a banging good quick breakfast.

My wife loves these things. I can't get over the smell enough to even taste them. Do they taste like they smell?

Deviled eggs are an underrated item

Not in my house. They are made at every special occasion, and I grew up on my mom's. She doesn't do anything fancy at all with them.

Egg yolk, gulden's spicy mustard, miracle whip, salt, pepper put into the white. Something about the combination just works. I've had them at dozens of restaurants and never like them as much. It's probably just nostalgic as opposed to better.

When people say what would be at their last meal, my mom's deviled eggs are on that plate

Here's an article on deviled eggs.

LINK

If you serve them at a party with lots of other foods, they will still likely be the first food to go.

Raw in the shell or boiled, peeled and then smoked?

My wife adds fresh made bacon bits and cheese in her mixture . Pretty good. She also makes them with guacamole istead of the yolks, pretty good as well.

Boil then peel. Smoke the eggs whole for 20 min. You can go a little less but don't go anymore as they can get a rubbery feel.

I use a traeger so my eggs are smoked at 185° so take that into consideration depending upon your smoker.

Same here. My mom knows not to put the deviled eggs out too early at thanksgiving or everyone will fill up on them before the turkey comes out.

I love deviled eggs. Last year, at the recommendation of a post on the Travel board, we went to the Purple Pig while in Chicago. Found fried deviled eggs on the menu. Delicious!

Smoke the egg yolks only to get the flavor without the weird texture/taste of smoking the whites. The company my wife works for owned a BBQ restaurant and that's what took them from pretty good to amazing.

Made the street corn eggs posted, and they were great! I made a few modifications to match the actual street corn recipe I use. The one here was missing Mexican chili powder and fresh lime juice, which I felt they really needed.

Otherwise, it was awesome! Definitely recommend.
