Crawcaine-Anybody Tried It?Posted by Doug_H

I just saw a video of a fella from ticktock (stalekracker) and he was using some seafood boil and bloody mary mix from Crawcaine. I've never heard of it, but wanted to see if anybody has tried any of their products. Looks like they are based out of Jennings, LA.

So many people with Cajun seasonings. When does it end? I really don't need to try another. I've been boiling really delicious crawfish for decades with what's always been out there.

Their tag line is "Ain't been stepped on!" Seriously?
So their target market is drug users ...
Who the hell though this whole shtick was a great marketing idea?

I tried the Seafood Sprinkle and the Season All. The Season All is decent and similar to a lot of other Cajun seasonings.
The seafood sprinkle has a distinct crawfish/seafood boil flavor without all the salt or heat. It’s similar to Louisiana Cajun Seasoning LINKbut has a bit more clove/bay, which gives it a more well rounded, pleasing flavor. It really kicked up the flavor of my bbq shrimp and shrimp dip, we also used to sprinkle it on some cheap frozen shrimp that were flash boiled that turned out excellent. We sprinkled some on store bought crawfish tails, battered/ fried them and you would have swore they were leftover tails from a crawfish boil. It’s not an everyday seasoning but for anything where you want a seafood boil flavor, it excels. I’d buy more if it was available around BR.

I like the seafood blend. I agree with previous posts assessment.
I’m impartial to the regular blend. It isn’t that different from Tony’s.

I bought a can of the Season All and used it quite a bit. I liked it, thought it had a little more of a kick than similar spice blends. I think I bought it at a little store in the Baton Rouge area - maybe Hubben's in Port Allen?

The amount of Cajun seasoning that gets presented to us at the grocery store is absolutely insane

Too many people want to try new things just to be the one who’s better than everyone else because they aren’t using everybody else’s brand. They don’t know it and can’t admit it, but it’s obvious to everyone else. They will love this new seasoning and then they will love the next new seasoning next year.

I’m kind of surprised these great family stores are selling drug paraphernalia.
