Parkway has an underrated pastrami sandwich. Just make sure they put it on rye.

Don't look like a lot of meat on that thing.

For real, if I order a pastrami sandwich it better be the star of the show and at least looks like it's in the neighborhood of a Jewish/NY deli style.

A New Yorker would look at this image of a pastrami sandwich and think what we think looking at New York gumbo:

To be fair, I'm not sure there are a whole lot of folks around here, outside of the guy who posted that pic, who would look at that and think that looks like a good pastrami sandwich either.

ETA, is that muffaletta style olive salad? At first I thought it was lettuce.

Its was about a foot long. Had a good bit of meat. Was sliced thin and had a great flavor. They are proud of it at $15.

I’ve lived in Nola my whole life and thought that was a bizarre looking pastrami sandwich.

I will not stop at Kenny and Ziggy's in Houston this weekend. I swear. Damnit, I didn't want to make that drive.

I thought maybe it was like a sweet peppers & relish but their menu says it’s an olive salad. Sounds nasty

That is the worst, most blasphemous pastrami sandwich i have ever seen.

That is embarrassing.

If you’re gonna bastardize Jewish deli, just don’t even attempt it.
