If this is the case its a great location, probably a 3 min walk from the current spot.

FWIW, I find myself at courtyard more often than the Tchoupitoulas breweries on any giving Saturdays

Always a decent crowd.

Everyone has their place. They haven't made an exciting beer in 2 years.

I feel like the beer crowd is dwindling down. Then again it could just be me and my friends. When I Goto courtyard I usually get the must drink hazy beer then a couple random lagers.

dwindling down?

Breweries are opening left and right across the country.

I’m sure they are

I feel like the brewery peak was 2013-2017 though. Local government and distribution is hurting breweries in a lot of towns though.

We were just talking about this with some of the FBD people. It is most certainly dwindling down in this house. I don’t care who can out-haze each other. And the past year or so, I opt for wine more often.

Beer is nice on a sunny afternoon, but I’m fine with a blonde ale.

I'm finding myself appreciating a really well-done lighter beer like a great pilsner or cream ale than overly mega hoppy or hazy DIPAs lately. I still enjoy those but just.. less often. Idk if it's a burnout or my palate is just changing.

Yeah definitely the same with me. I enjoy a nice ipa or stout every once in a while but am going more towards the lighter beers that I can sip on all day. Local breweries are making these now and are pretty damn good.

They will be going out of business like gangbusters in the next few years imo

I think the ones that serve a neighborhood niche will survive and do well. There are lots here in Houston that fit that description. But I agree, I think the new release hype thing is going to die a quick death. How much longer can you change up your ipa or stout recipe?
