Corn on the cob

How do you like it? I’ve always eaten it grilled or boiled with melted butter or straight out the crawfish boil. Tried it yesterday with mayo and Tony’s at a function, it’s different but not bad.

It's good. Universally praised even.

Sounds like a lazy take on the Mexican street food version.

Sweet corn - roll it in melted butter.

Nothing beats corn on the cob - no husk, no silk - grilled over a hot fire with melted butter basting it. Simple and delicious and my favorite.

Love it most any way, but my favorite is boiled for a few minutes, then butter, salt and pepper.
Nice to have some slices of home grown tomatoes to go along with it.

Microwave in husk 5 minutes on high. Cut stem end where it meets cob. Squeeze from tassel end. No husk, no tassel. Perfect! Roll in butter and then lightly salt. Absolutely perfect. You can also after squeezing husk off as above throw on grill to mark and flavor.

My 2 favorite ways are grilled with no husk with just a bit of olive oil to hold the seasoning on the corn or boiled in seafood boil to kick it up a few notches.
I've never been much of a butter eater so no butter on my corn.

This minus the salt and I never go over 3 minutes when it is fresh picked. Usually 2 1/2.

I love freshly husked corn on the charcoal grill. Add butter....that's good enough for me.

Brushed with melted butter, a little Tony’s, and Parmesan.

Steamed, rolled in butter and topped with salt.
There are few things in this world like fresh picked sweet corn.

Shuck it, scrub off the silks with a brush, slather with real butter and coarse salt, roll up in foil and throw it in the oven for about 30 minutes at 350-375.
You really can't screw it up, and it takes the after cooking mess of buttering and seasoning out of the equation.
The Cajun seasoning has me intrigued. I believe I will shake a little in there with the salt next time.

If you put a cob in the microwave for just 1 minute, you wont have to scrub the cobs. The silks will steam right off and you can finish cooking in the oven if you wish.
On occasion, I will put some Tajin seasoning on the corn. Great on watermelon also.

We just put corn on the cob straight into the oven with husks and silk still and let it steam inside the husk. Little butter and salt and pepper and good to go

That's what I do and I cut off the end first, so I can slide the ear out when it's done.
