So I was in New Orleans for work, and it was restaurant week. Looked over the list of restaurants and decided to go to Commander’s Palace and Antoine’s. Every thing did not go as planned and I did not make it to Antoine’s. However, I did make it to Commander’s, Johnny’s Po-boys, Irene’s, and Stanley.

First, I grabbed a beer. First time to have this one and it was ok.

Then to Commander’s. I got the Brisket, and the wife got the Fish. We also had turtle soup, salad, and two deserts. Everything was great. Service was great.

Next day for Lunch we went to Johnny’s Po-boys. I got the Roast Beef and the wife got the Shrimp. Both were good. I know there is a lot of discussion about who has the best Po-boy in town. While I haven’t been to all the major players, I have been to a few. The quality was very good. I would recommend trying if you have never been.

Grabbed a bloody after lunch. They are generally phenomenal. However, they ran out of their home made mix and used something else. I wish I would have got beer.

That night we went to Irene’s. A friend recommended it and the wife wanted Italian. She got veal and I got Lamb. I did not like her’s, but the lamb was amazing. Desert was great too.

Next morning I grabbed an Omelet sandwich at Stanley, and ate it on the way to work. It is one of my favorites. It was good as always.

Was a pretty good trip as far as food goes.

I literally just said aloud "did he take that with a potato?"

I agree on the pics. My hand was shaky after all the beer.

A true alcoholic will tell you that the hand gets steadier with drink. Keep practicing.

Too much of the garden in the bloody Mary and plastic cup. I'd have gone with a beer as well.

I looked back at some other pictures online, and plating was always inconsistent. I put the Rosemary on the side.

I'm sure most of the food posted here is delicious, but I have yet to see a Nola restaurant really impress me with plating

I can't believe you took pics of all that. I could see taking a pic of a memorable dish, but this is just sad.
