Balls' Slaw is a great recipe. I add crispy bacon to it if I have it laying around.

I love the cole slaw at the Rendezvous (to me it's the only thing there the quality hasn't suffered since it has gotten to be such a tourist spot), and I make one as close to theirs as I can get. It's just yellow mustard, cider vinegar, salt, pepper, and sugar.

I don't really have the measurments but...
mayo
sour cream (about half as much as the amount of mayo)
hot sauce
cayenne pepper
black pepper
vinegar
onion powder
garlic powder
let it sit in fridge over night
it's always a hit

I like to keep it simple...my recipe is only two ingredients...mayo and the juice from a jar of bread-and-butter pickles...this makes a delicious coleslaw...I get asked for the recipe all the time...people are astonished when I tell them what I do.

Balls slaw is off the chain. Best ever.

1 head of cabbage chopped fine. 1 onion, 2 carrots, 1 green bell pepper all chopped fine.
Dressing: 2 cups Blue Plate mayo, yellow mustard, white vinegar, salt, lot of black pepper and 1 pack of Good Seasons Italian Dressing seasoning.
I like mine tart and I believe it is better the 2nd day. Also I like bacon and chopped peanuts in it but keep them on the side because my wife doesn’t.

I can't remember the amounts of each:
Head of cabbage finely chopped
Carrots finely chopped
Dill Pickle finely chopped
Celery Salt
Red wine vinegar
Mayo
Pepper
More sugar than you think and a little more.
Stir a lot and a little more.
If you like Popeye's Coleslaw this is it.

I’m a fan of Marie’s brand myself. Just bought two containers and two pack of slaw mix to make for tailgating Saturday.

I have some friends that order it from Mike Anderson’s and it comes with the dressing in a separate container and the peanuts. Good if you are going somewhere and need to bring something. Not expensive either and they do make a good coleslaw.

I love George’s slaw, they have it Friday’s only with their fried fish

The recipe for Mike Anderson’s slaw is in the cookbook. I make it occasionally when we fry fish or shrimp.

I was in a bind and ended up ordering 15 things of slaw from canes. I'm making Balls slaw this weekend though.

2 packages (14 oz each) slaw mix with carrots
Roasted chili peppers (¼ cup) diced - Poblano, Jalapeno or Hatch (depends on what you like)
1/8 cup sugar
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon garlic powder
? tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1 cup mayonnaise (Blue Plate recommended)
Optional - add 4-5 tablespoon of chipotles in adobo sauce diced
DIRECTIONS
Roast chili peppers in broiler until skin is charred on all sides. Place in ziplock bag and seal. Let it sit until they've cooled down. Put peppers under faucet and peel skin off, then dice.
Mix all the ingredients together.
If it is bitter, add more sugar and let stand in the fridge for at least 1 hour but its better the longer it sits. Leave overnight.
