I won't be hitting up the steakhouse per my last thread

How is Cochon's restaurant side? I have had Butcher and its great. Never been to the restaurant. Is it a must visit?

Yes, different than Butcher, with full rustic meals instead of cool sandwiches

Been there a couple times. Rabbit and dumplings were awesome. Got a bunch of appetizers both times that everyone enjoyed. Dont remember the entree the other time. Drinks are solid. It’s a good place.

Everything I've had there was excellent. I highly recommend.

If the wood fired oysters are on the menu, GET THEM!

And make sure you ask for bread with them to soak up all that juice!

My favorite restaurant. Do multiple courses, especially a charcuterie board

I like Couchon but I will repeat what I said in the other thread. My first choice around there would be Emeril’s.

It's Donald Link, so it's excellent.

It's been almost a decade, but I remember it being great. One time I ate there with my BiL who likes to do it big, and he literally said "Bring me everything you have on the menu." I can't remember a bad dish out of the bunch.

Gianna sucks or at least the time we went.

I really like Cochon. Can’t go wrong there.

Cochon is good, but Peche is better if you haven't tried it yet. Both Link restaurants.

Disagree. Went in November and had an excellent meal. The meatballs and bread were great, spaghetti and clams excellent, and the shrimp scampi was one of the best I’ve had. The only complaint I could even think of is they nickel and dime you on the menu a bit (charged for the bread and the pasta wasn’t included with the shrimp scampi). Excellent atmosphere, food, and cocktails though.

I like Cochon. As others have said, the wood fired oysters and rabbit and dumplings are must haves.

With that said, Cochon was part of the big abortion fundraiser of restaurants a few years back. I'm not saying to avoid it, but I am informing you in case that affects your decision. At least they didn't mock the death of a congressman; just those of babies.

The food is excellent though

I always get the “fisherman style” gulf fish, which means half shell to most folks.

Very good. Wife and I went last Friday. Had the short rib special and fried squash with whipped feta for a side. All excellent.

I haven't been to Cochon in years because his other restaurant Peche keeps getting my business.

Great spot. Generous portions. I dream of the pulled lamb neck.
