Can't read all of it since I don't have a subscription. But new place will be called Las Cruces located at Airline and N Labarre opening in 2022.

Whatever happened to the guy who was the chef there when it opened and then got pushed out?

Chef Rob Bechtold

He was doing a pop up at his house I think. I ordered some brisket from him a couple times. Last I heard he was running a pop up out of Bevi called Bayou Bao. But hadn't heard from him in a while. Think he posts on here though.

Idk, it’s a clusterufck with traffic already right there. Between people exiting Rouses, Planet Fitness, trains, and people getting into causeway from airline. Is there any other access outside the little service road?

There was a Panchos right there in the strip mall when times were simpler

Was running a restaurant in North Carolina or something. Think it shutdown a while back. Don't think he is back in NOLA.

Metairie is going to hate those prices

I can’t even imagine what they are selling food at now that meat prices are skyrocketing

What are you seeing/thinking here? There's not much in that area a whole lot cheaper, if at all, than other comparable places in Orleans. Hell, if anything, a lot of the Metairie Road places seem to lean a bit more expensive.

Very curious to see how that location turns out. There's that one, bumpy little side street to get behind that Planet Fitness strip mall. People park on each side of it and it's a cluster. It's one way in and one out.

That lot used to contain an old, sleezy Airline motel. Old Met folk are used to not going back there. Will take some adjustment of attitude.

They will flock to it, I have little doubt. I'm kind of excited because its five minutes from my work.
