Very Good, if you are ever going thru Jennings it is worth it to stop at this little spot.

I wasn't impressed with Fat Pat's. I'd rather go to Whataburger than there again.

Gary's is a grocery store off Garfield.

Green Oaks is a bar on Guilbeau Road, next to Meche's Donuts

I just had a burger from Deano's South that was quite good and homemade.

This is honestly one of the best burgers I have ever had.

We have a winner. Plus Max is a cool dude and he cooks every burger. Drink a beer, eat a burger, forget about smoke smell.

No smoking in 2026.

At Max's right now for a post Luis J. Gomez drink and ordered the cheese burger. It was so good I had to see what Tigerdroppings opinion was...I thought it was DELICIOUS!

Used to love a late night burger at Max's.

One place i will throw out is Spoonbill.
Haven't been back in Lafayette for a couple years but they had a killer burger.

Max’s is good, Market Eatz has a good non-spicy burger, and the smash burger (not really a smash burger) from all day provision is good too. Those are my three favorites at the moment.

I liked the burger at Adopted Dog.

Yes, it’s seasoned. But it’s not a meatloaf patty.

Also, Max’s Pool Hall made a killer burger back in the day. Been about 15 years since I’ve had one, though, so not sure if still the same.

Agree with those who say Fat Pat’s is like a seasoned hockey puck.

Used to love that burger. Something with it changed over the past 10 years, at least to me. Maybe I’m the only one.

Snack Shack up the road from there in Iota has a tasty burger.

Also liked O’Darby’s in Carencro.

In Maurice, there is food truck with very good burgers: Catin's. Look them up on Facebook.

Is Max still alive?

My post is 12 years old.

You’re basically asking for Max‘s pool hall. No one‘s gonna tell you because it’s a town secret.
