Going with the GF on Monday because she wants to run a few errands and check out a few shops.

We've done Commander's (overpriced, food is nasty) and other "name recognition" restaurants.

What else is there? Not looking for greasy like Camellia Grill or overpriced fine dining. Just something in between.

If she thinks Commander's is nasty, I just have no idea. What kind of food does she like?

I honestly don't know what's open for Monday brunch/lunch.

That's a tough dining period. If you just want a nice lunch spot, hit up Herbsaint or Coquette.

Russel's Marina Grill in West End.Breakfast every day, and a huge variety of great choices. If you like chicken and waffles they serve theirs with a side of a spicy maple sauce that's on point. If she cant find anything she likes at Russell's, dump her on the spot.

Glad to see you getting called out on this. Known as one of the best restaurants in the WORLD for decades.

Check out Besh's Luke. Good stuff.

Why? Probably also due to the fact that she worked there at one point in time.

The food is disgusting IMPO.

You personally think Commander's food is "disgusting"?
When's the last time you ate there and what exactly was disgusting and why?
I can understand a dish or dishes not being your cup of tea, but in all the years I've eaten there, I've never had anything that could be considered disgusting. That's a strong word.

I'm thinking our boy didn't like CP because it's one of those fancy places that wouldn't let him in wearing his dressy jeans. And the bud lights were too expensive. LOL

Again, if you think Commander's is disgusting then chances are that no human being will be able to help you as we all think that it is great. My wife came home with some organic dog food the other day. Gimme a sec and I'll get the name of it for you.
