Has anyone made one? Any advice or tips? Looking to make one this weekend.

That photo is from a recipe another poster said he's used successfully.
Seems like such a waste of good boudin to me, though.

It's worth it, great combo of sweet and savory

Had it once. More of a novelty thing and to say you've had it.
Agree it seems like a waste

I tasted it once, but I'm not a fan of rice inside bread. I've had a few meat pies with crawfish etouffee inside including the rice. That doesn't make sense to my taste buds.

see I love carb on a carb. Boudin king cake is amazing. My inner fat self wants to come out and play every time I see one.

I would love to try. I love boudin. I like it in the mornings with either toast and jelly or jelly biscuit. Thats a good sweet and salty combo in the mornings.
Other than that just boudin all day long would make me happy

I had one a few weeks ago. I don't get it. Doesn't taste or appear anything like a king cake.
It's just bread with boudin stuffed in it. Which is fine. But don't call it a king cake.

It's inspired by king cake, thus it is called a "boudin king cake." They aren't calling it a "king cake."
Loosen your tie and have a drink. It's all fun.

My son's basketball team was selling pieces for $2 a pop so I bought one. It was essentially crescent roll dough wrapped around boudin and sprinkled with bacon. I love boudin but I didn't care for it at all. Maybe if it were from a legit bakery it'd be different.

I followed this recipe. Did it twice to rave reviews. One time, I topped the cake with a glaze of pepper jelly and some cracklings I ran a rolling pin over.

Used this recipe as well and it came out great. Only modification was that I used two links of boudin and placed cheese in between.....

I could eat my body weight in boudin, but the green onions on the sticky glazed bread stuffed with boudin, and is that cheese? Make me want to hurl.

Twin's in Lafayette uses Steen's syrup in there's and that is what makes it. Without that it really is not that impressive.

The one I had from Ronnie's for the Superbowl was freaking amazing.
