OK, I need a little clarification. I keep hearing that LSU is just trying to screw Kelly out of money. I thought LSU was trying to negotiate terms of the buyout. I thought they offered him 25 million for one lump sum payment then the offer was 30 million in two lump payments similar to like what the lottery would do. This would remove any contractual limitations on him getting another job.

The whole 53 million spread out over a much longer period of time and whoever hired him would have to pay out a large portion of the buyout.

Am I misunderstanding this or is LSU just trying to screw Kelly over the way he screwed them?

Boutte is not flipping. Spoke to him Thursday at a camp I helped to put on and he said he will camp at auburn and possibly Baylor. In his own words he Might as well take trips if they willing to pay to bring him there but it don’t mean anything.
He may take a lot of trips but is all LSU. Everyone of his teammates said the same thing that he doesn’t want to play anywhere else.

From what I read, they are not arguing the sample. They are arguing the wording of two different penalties. The penalty he is accused of now states he gave a sample that was tampered with.
His lawyer is trying to state That he gave a sample but in a manner that did not follow normal collection protocol. The wording of this second penalty only carries a one-year suspension. If the NCAA agrees with this then his lawyer is going to request time served for him to get immediate reinstatement.
