Hey guys,

Picked up some shrimp. How do y’all like preparing shrimp when not frying it? I usually just throw some spices on them and put them in a skillet with olive and butter for a bit.

We love grilled skrimps at my place. Peel, devign/butterfly, skewer, spray w PAM and season with some Lawry's Lemon Pepper. Make a garlic butter for dipping....

I always enjoy doing them in a skillet with some butter, garlic, and lots of red pepper. Dip some french bread in the butter sauce

I really like garlic shrimp, done in the Spanish style, with olive oil, plenty of garlic, chili flakes, and sherry vinegar. Recipe, if you need one, here: LINK

Any creamy garlic sauce, pasta, green peppers, red peppers, mushrooms, onions, spinach if you like it and usually some parmesan. Peel and season shrimp with some sort of Cajun seasoning, cook pasta, sauté vegetables, add sauce, add shrimp add parmesan. When they turn pink, eat.
There really is no recipe, just go for it.

And everything above me. And a hundred other ways.

I pretty much always grill them when I prepare them. But we did a shrimp boil down at the beach last month that was great. Just your typical corn, sausage, potatoes, and shrimp.

Shrimp fajitas on a griddle is another great option.

Take a whole shrimp and run a bamboo skewer through the body from tail to head. Peel the body only, leaving the head and tail on the shrimp. Make a mixture of seasons oil, canola oil, fresh minced ginger, fresh minced garlic, 5 spice powder , pepper to taste(I use siracha, but black pepper can be used) , and juice from a squeezed orange. Marinate for an hour. In a separate bowl , make a basting sauce of equal parts sweet Thai chili and hoisin, add some orange juice , cilantro , garlic powder and lime. Grill or broil , I prefer the grill, basting every 60 seconds. Lower heat is better as it allows you to get several coats on the shrimp.

I can't believe no one recommended New Orleans BBQ shrimp...which is not really BBQ... My other favorite is my wife's iron skillet shrimp which I think is only shrimp, butter, garlic, more garlic, more garlic, (basically equal amounts garlic and shrimp) and cayenne.

Seconded, it’s easy. I use this recipe. Add plenty of extra Worcestershire, paprika, and butter. Drago’s butter works really well. In the plastic squeeze near the fish,

Two days ago took out some one of my quart bags of Grand Isle shrimp. Also had some leftover crab meat I peeled and vacuum sealed from some uneaten boiled crabs when we were at the camp a couple weeks ago.

Made a shrimp and crab alfredo.

For the alfredo sauce, sauteed some minced garlic with a bit of paprika in olive oil, added white wine to cool it down and get the good gradoo off the bottom of the pan to mix in.

Added heavy whipping cream. Let simmer for a good 45 minutes. Added some shredded parmesan cheese, then the shrimp and crab meat. Served over penne pasta.

Either have some good French bread to sop up the sauce or angel hair pasta & a salad

McCormick makes a dry Baja Fish seasoning packet. I have only found it a Walmart. Mix that with some butter and grill or pan sear.

Crawfish Alfredo Recipe
Ingredients: 1 pack frozen crawfish tails or 1 lb. of shrimp
2 jars of favorite Alfredo Sauce or make your own
1 lb. Andouille Sausage
Fresh Pico De Gallo
1. Cut sausage into cubes and cook in skillet, Do not drain grease and add crawfish tail meat after washing in colander. Crawfish tails are already cooked so you are really just letting them gel with the sausage flavor. Approx. 3-4 minutes
2. When Sausage is done pour alfredo sauce in skillet and heat till simmering. Add salt and pepper to your taste and season with Cajun seasoning depending on how spicy you like it. Simmer about 15 minutes and remove from heat.
3. Add fresh Pico De Gallo and stir in.
4. Pour over your favorite pasta or serve over a piece of fish
*Make sure not to overcook the fresh pico, add it right before taking off the heat so the onions stay crisp.
