My vote is for the Whiskey Ribeye at Jesse's in Magnolia Springs, AL. Unfortunately I don't think it's on the menu.

Close second would be one I had at the Bourbon Mall in Bourbon, MS. The place was destroyed by fire several years ago and never reopened.

We cooked ribeyes at the house with my family and in laws when my wife told me (and all of us) that she was pregnant with our daughter.

Dwight Stroud's Shady Oaks in Abbeville about 1978. He sprayed them lightly with a caramel water, seasoned them and cooked on a grill in a thin layer of suet. They were good. Had a great crust, tender and flavorful

I've made some prime stips and filets at home that made me weak in the knees. For restaurants it would probably be Delmonico.

Yeah it sounds pretentious, but my best tasting were some well marbled rib-eyes, I reverse-seared at home. Melted in your mouth like butter
Although, I've never paid more than $80 for a steak at a restaurant, so there's that

Jesse's is fantastic. I personally liked the coffee rubbed over the whiskey but I think I'm in the minority. I wish they still did that oyster dip that was fantastic.

Not at all. Once you figure out how you like your steak, it's easier to replicate it at home than asking Joe Chef to do it for you.

The way I did those filets the first time was kind of a fluke, but I've been doing it ever since, and it beats anything I can buy at a restaurant.

Porcini Mushroom dry aged ribeye from Capital Grill in Boston.

Bring the hate, but I love me some Ruth's filet.

I had a neighbor once that made the best steak I'd ever had. As far as restaurant steaks go, used to be a place in Charlotte called Ranch House, used to love eating their steaks. They had the best shrimp cocktail also.
