16 oz Ribeye at Del Frisco's Grille in Uptown Dallas. Highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area.

You should try butchering/cooking a whole tenderloin at home. It's easy and way cheaper.

I did it yesterday :). Got 8 8oz filets and a good bit of trim to make some bomb sandwiches with butter, jalapeños and cheese on Hawaiian rolls. Ate the first two last night and they were the bomb. I made a bearnaise sauce for the first time and realized that I preferred garlic butter lol.

You can get a whole tenderloin for what you'd pay for two filets at a really nice place. And the meat is basically just as good since filet is naturally very lean.

I actually get center cut sirloins from Whole Foods for $5.99/lb and they are not quite as tender, but for the price they aren't that far off.

Eaten many steaks from west coast to east coast and nothing is better than Mr. Johns in Nola. Hands down

The best I ever had was rainwater in San Diego but it closed now. My go to for a really good steak is NY strip at Mr. Lesters.

ETA: I really like doing them myself though.

I can't remember cuts, but my top three in Atlanta would likely be Bones, Hals, and Rathbun Steak.

Back in the late 70's early 80's I worked in an office in Scotlandville on the river. There was a place on airline called mirror steak house if I recall. It was by scallons meat market. They had a big ole porterhouse that was always cooked to perfection and very good. It was the best steak for the $ then. I dont even know if its still open or the same I dont get that way very often. These days.
