Buffalo Wild Wings

I fornicated on a lady once after a date there. Though she was about as classy as Buffalo Wild Wings.

Never been to Mandina's but I've been to Cucina Cangemi right next door and it's really good.

Beach House…but I like a place that doesn’t frown upon cargo shorts and crocs

Yeah, it's a little better than okay. I haven't been there is awhile but I wouldn't recommend Mandina's for a date.

Bottom line, you want the place to be a little romantic and have good food. Pat's fills both those criteria. Nuvolari's is romantic and mostly hit on the food but can sometimes miss. The Lakehouse might be a little better than Nuvolari's in terms of food.

Not good enough. Mainly an older crowd.

In addition to pasta, Leonardo’s has an excellent pizza made with a homemade spicy sausage. It will get your girls blood flowing.

Bosco’s has an excellent Lasagna, but it may weigh heavy on your side piece.

Impastato Cellar was solid as well, although I’ve only gone there twice. Your chic would probably still approve.

In addition to the spots listed by Gumbo, the above are my extent for recs. Most of my time is spent in dining in Covington.

Good luck amigo.

Beach House

It's the Lakehouse owned by Cayman Sinclair now. Hasn't been the Beach House since '95 and was partly owned by Pat Gallagher (and a silent partner). Before that it was Bechac's. Pat Gallagher has built a really nice restaurant empire on the Northshore now. He owns Gallagher's on 21, 527 in Mandeville, Pat's Rest Awhile on the lakefront and Gallagher’s Restaurant on Front Street in Slidell.

I can recommend 527 for a more upscale first date. Had a great experience last time I was there.

Since we are on this subject...Keith Young's, and Gallagher's restaurants are pretty close. Keith Young's beats Gallagher's on the sides except the the turtle soup. Pat has the turtle soup recipe down. But for steaks, you have to go to Gallagher's. All the steaks come out sizzling like Ruth's Chris. Don't get me wrong, Keith Young's steaks are very good, but that sizzling hot plate the steaks are served on adds a special touch at Gallagher's restaurants.

Ummm, there is still a place called the Beach House. It sucks, but it's there. The Lake House is not the same place/location.
