I can't identify the Indian place mentioned. Two or three in the old GP area have closed. I always enjoy Half Shell Oyster House. It's a nice casual place but not a quick lunch off I-10.

The Shed's not that bad if you avoid their overly sweet sauce. They have other sauces.

But I would stop in at Fayards Marathon in Ocean Springs for poboys.

Another option is one of the old timey places on the Causeway outside of Mobile, like The Bluegill.

I checked out their menu after they opened and said nope. For those prices I will stick with local.

Are there any good hamburger joints or diners in Mobile?

Blind Mule used to have a good burger but it’s been a while.

I like MacBe Seafood right off Exit 13. Nothing fancy: plastic checkerboard tablecloths. I've only eaten there twice and got the $13.99 Shrimp Po Boy each time but if I'm anywhere near there I'll go again. They have boiled crawfish and they looked good but I had already ordered.

Not germane to OP because too far but for the sake of the overall discussion, we had lunch at Shaggy’s Pass Christian and everything was great. Being right on the water with the docks, fishing boats and everything is very cool.

Hold out for godfathers in Tillman’s Corner.

We used to hit that Godfathers every time we passed through. It was the closest actual Godfathers (not one of those abomination Godfathers Express) to Baton Rouge/New Orleans. But now they have an actual Godfathers in Kenner - it doesn’t have the buffet like Tillmans corner though.

I like the blind tiger in Bay St. Louis for the scenery but that’s going to be like 20 or 30 minutes off the interstate.

Just found myself on I-10 in Landmass needing a quick lunch. Stopped at The Shed due to its convenience. It has been a couple years. Place is the exact same. I ordered a 2 meat plate- brisket, pulled pork, collards and Mac n cheese. Did not tell them to leave off the sauce. Mistake. That cane syrup shite is just not very good. The pulled pork not covered in the sauce was pretty good. 7/10. The brisket was sliced off the point and pretty tough. 3/10. The mac and cheese and collards were both surprisingly really good. 8.5/10 for both. Anyway elapsed time from getting off the interstate to finished eating was 22 minutes. Pretty intresting folks walking around. Better than a stop at Cracker Barrell or Arby's, imo. But you're better off hitting a causeway joint in Mobile
If your schedule allows. Mine didn't.
