I personally like Just Wingin It's crawfish the best in BR for a sit down restaurant. No clue what their prices are like right now. They are pretty spicy usually.
Heads and Tails are pretty solid too.

My ranking so far:
1. Hot Tails in Prairieville
2. Sammy's on Highland
3. Porch Light in Prairieville
4. Crawfish on the Geaux (food truck, so no sit down)
5. Willie's

Hot Tails
Hot Tails
Hot Tails
Porch Light was inedible two or three weeks ago. Mealy, overcooked, small and not seasoned.

I went last weekend and they were extremely small and most were mushy. I’m not a picky eater at all but IMO they were pretty bad.

Hasn't been the same since the change in ownership.
Wingin it is really good. I've yet to try hot tails but, it's on my list.

Went to Heads and Tails last weekend, Bayou Pigeon crawfish, good size, and cooked right.

I don’t get the love for Willies crawfish. Had it twice and I found it under flavored.
Surprisingly, Tiger Paw has good crawfish. That has been my go to place for crawfish the past 2 years.

I personally think Sammy’s, Willies, & Porch Light suck
Crawfish Hole is good but a bit of a drive
Best bet is prob Hot Tails or Just Wingin It

I love posts like these. Dude asks where to go eat crawfish in a restaurant on a Saturday night in BR and you suggest a market in the ghetto where you cant eat crawfish

I'm just glad OP asked on a Friday, usually someone us asking where to eat lunch in Baton Rouge on Saturday at 11:30 on Saturday

Is Randy Montalbano's still really good? Been 3-4 years since I've had theirs, at the time they were amazing.
