Pizza Dominica uptown, 1/2 off pizza, beer and wine. Solid happy hours at all Besh restaurants.

Superior seafood
$3 draft beer

Domenica. Half price pizza and half price drinks including some pretty good wines by the glass. My other favorite is Kingfish.

Blue Oak is still solid but it used to be a lot better. Now only selected (shitty) drafts are $3.

Yep. $8 for wings and a Jucifer was the GOAT deal.

Found that place pretty pretentious and the drink prices were not what I consider "Happy Hour" pricing.

It’s an award winning, upscale cocktail bar.

What were you expecting?

I don't give a rat's arse how many awards a bar wins. When I go out for Happy Hour I don't want to pay $6 for a beer and $8+ for a cocktail.

I'm more of a neighborhood bar type and could care less about all the frivolous crap of craft cocktails and plates of tiny food.

I disagree and I don't equate best to cheapest. Cure certainly is not the cheapest happy hour

Then I would suggest places like that aren't for you.

For downtown, Johnny Sachez and Trennas are pretty good.

Barrel Proof has a good one, with the old fashioned for some stupid low price as the standout.

Obviously Cure isn’t your cup of tea then

A $6 good Old Fashioned isn’t a terrible deal

ETA: when we lived Uptown, Superior Seafood was the happy hour we went to most often. Bouligny Tavern and Cavan also had a decent happy hour (cocktails were around $5 and there were “snacks” also around that, Bouligny also has a good burger).
