Cafe Bustelo. Espresso ground but I just toss it right in the regular coffee maker

My “house blend” is Orleans Coffee roasters’ Espresso crema, whole bean. I intermittently switched between moka pot coffee and french press, so I vary the grind size.

In all honesty, I probably drink more Nespresso Roma pods than anything else, as it’s my go-to hurried weekday morning shot, and I keep it in my office for a 3 pm jolt.

I really like Peet's coffees; even the decafs are good.

I grew up on Community Between Roast, then went to Cafe Special.

I find the Duncan Donuts (standard or whatever it's called) it have more flavor. So far, I can handle a $1 more.

I too, would like to try a grinder. Do you grind before every pot, or grind a few days in advance?

I grind beans everyday. In the past I've used different varieties from World Market or Whole Foods (one of the 365 versions in 2lb bags). Last year I started trying the various coffees Costco offers. The first two times they had 3lb bags of a Mayan organic bean that I really liked. As usual they quit carrying that and I tried one from Costa Rico, also pretty good. That was gone the next time and I tried a Guatemalan, it was okay. This last time they had nothing new, a few bags of the Guatemalan left and their Kirkland version of Colombian. It's my least favorite so far. At least its only a 2lb bag.

EDIT: These are weekday, drip coffee maker.

On weekends I do french press with with local beans if I can find them or with single variety from Fresh Market or Whole Foods.

Wait, I'm so confused by all of the love for Community. I've always found Community to be pretty shitty. What am I missing?

+1 on River Road. I like their Creole or Acadian roasts. Roasted in BR. Community tastes burned to me.

I like Tim Hortons made in a french press.
It's a nice change.

It's probably just nostalgia (grew up in Lake Charles) but I prefer Seaport to Community.

French Market with chicory, make it a bit stronger than instructions.

It is shitty, but you're missing the power of being ubiquitous and easy to reach.

The oils in coffee are extremely volatile. Ideally, you want your water to hit the grounds within minutes of grinding. If you’re grinding days in advance, you’re losing a ton of flavor.
