If not, Houston, then where?
I mean, read the thread. I'd chose Austin over Houston just like everyone else in the thread, but that's not to say Houston doesn't have good BBQ.
"The BBQ Capitol of The World" is quite the stretch IMO.

If you give him a good Google review he’ll give you 3% off your next order and a signed pic of his drippings soaked brisket.

I’m a Pinkerton’s man. Brisket, ribs, side of jambalaya and Mac n cheese. So good.

Ribs and wings look delicious. I'm going to have to give that a try next time I'm up there.

Boudin mac and boudin mac quesadillas is where it's at. His hours are a joke though

I didn't look at that till you pointed it out.
Are those hours like that because he doesn't yet have a consistent flow of customers??

The pit room’s sides are the best of any of BBQ restaurant.

I've said it here before, I don't give a shite about sides at a BBQ place because it's all about the delicious smoked meats for me at those joints.
However, the smoked/sautéed okra at Pit Room is by far my favorite side at any BBQ place I've been. That side alone makes me agree with your statement.
