Bacchus on the Beach had a good burger. Admittedly, it's the only burger on the landmass coast I've had, but it wasn't bad.

My man! That's a great dive bar too. I think the lady who owned it was married to the late Biloxi Mayor Jerry O'Keefe.
Adventures had a pretty good burger pre-Katrina. Although the post-Katrina version of Adventures kinda sucks.
And if you're in Ocean Springs, go to Government Street Grocery. It's kinda like how Chelsea's Cafe used to be -- funky local place with live music. Good burgers, nice beer selection.

Mockingbird cafe in BSL is life changing.

Juicy Lucy from adventures in biloxi is a close second.

How good can a burger be to make you search it out over other foods?

Mockingbird is fine, mostly bc not much else like it there. But life changing? Get out more.

Where on the coast, and your palette is either casino or burger?

Nice or casual?

The Sycamore house has a great burger, and the back patio is quite nice this time of year. It's more coastal fratty than pure casual though. The beach places all serve burgers, and it's casual...but again you'd drive for the scene more than the food. The Mockingbird is good though, they've absolutely stepped up their food game recently. They have a full chef and it's more thoughtful than before. Still, I wouldn't drive from Biloxi for a burger. The app menues at C&C and the Syc house are worth traveling for...then everything else.
