I season mine similarly, but prefer to cook over charcoal.

You mix all of that in your ground beef before even cooking? You then add butter and baste the patty? Finish on broil in the oven?

The broil is really just to melt the cheese. And yes to all of the above.

Basting helps cook the burger evenly for me.

It's super easy to mix all of that stuff in, it's ingredients I always have.

If Blend is still serving their burger then that's it and no one knows about it. I haven't had one in a few years but it was always incredible. Other than that, Freddy's.

Freddy's reminds me of the old Fast Track burgers. Surprised BR people don't think more highly of them.

The OP asked about burgers, not meatloaf.

I hate to be one of those guys but use the seasonings and salt after you form the patties. It really does make a difference with the meat

I see someone doesn’t understand what the OP requested much less how to make a hamburger.

To the OP:

Dixie Maid
Brewbachers on Drusilla because it has a 50 year old seasoned griddle but you will smell like the place and the service is spotty.
George’s on Highland with carmelized onions
Louis “the big cheesy Lou” is worth every penny
French Market has a really nice burger
I still like a Five Guys occasionally.
Stockyard Cafe is as good or better than any as well. And cheap.

I've always had a thing for riverside patty. Not necessarily the 'best' but a cheeseburger and tots from there just makes me happy. There's a lot of good burgers to be had throughout the city. I like some of the fancy loaded burgers like burgersmith and fat cow, but a solid straight up burger is good too.
