Tim's Poboy on Monterrey has one of the best cheeseburgers I've had in BR.

Dixie Maid is Awesome too.

Riverside Patty is also a solid burger.

John Michael's Good Eats is right outside of BR but their cheeseburger is awesome too.

Roul's is also great.

God Dammit. I was hoping to be the first to mention this one.

The Roux Burger is flat-out AMAZING. Lots of good mentions here(Curbside, Burgersmith, Merchant, etc). But what sets Roux Burger apart from the other top burgers is the bun and the Roux Sauce. I don't know shite about the sauce except it's awesome. But I did find out about their buns.
The buns ship from Houston twice a week. The Bakery is Sweet Mesquite Bakery. Unbelievable flavor that complements the burger like no other bun.
Sheila Partin's Sweet Sourdough

I've mentioned this before but a friend of mine is in the food shipping/logistics business out of San Antonio.
He said that Sonic and Whataburger have the shortest time span between slaughter and your order at 4 days. That's amazing. And obviously never frozen. That's why Sonic and Whataburger burgers legit taste better than other fast food options in Texas/Louisiana. I'd assume In and Out is on par with them but he doesn't ship to them.

Just like Fleur de lis, just being a BR icon does not make you even in contention for the best in BR

No doubt. The one on Airline in Gonzales has gotten hammered during the pandemic as an overflow from Cane's and McDonalds.

CSB after Joe Burrow pushed in Texas' shite in Austin, I was with him, his brother and my gf. We drove back down to New Braunfels and waited 20 minutes in line at a Whataburger for some BOBs(breakfast on a bun) and some of them fresh burgers. Maybe it was the Titos and Tiger Victory or just the fresh beef. But those were some amazing burgers. What a weekend and the best was yet to come. Geaux Tigers.

Most underrated joint in the entire BR metro area. EVERYTHING that place serves is a contender in its category.

And I don't think many places make a Pot Roast Poboy but that MFer is definitely worth trying.

I remember raving about him 10 years ago when he took over the coffee place across the street. So glad to see he has been able to grow that business into what it has become and not lose the quality.

Lol

When I was a kid we lived in south Texas for a while (my dad is from down there) - his best friend had the contract to cut the grass at all the whataburgers in nueces county - we’d go help on some weekends and those were the best burgers

I've always had a thing for riverside patty. Not necessarily the 'best' but a cheeseburger and tots from there just makes me happy. There's a lot of good burgers to be had throughout the city. I like some of the fancy loaded burgers like burgersmith and fat cow, but a solid straight up burger is good too.

Same here.

Masons does a damn good shrimp burger too. Their buns are just frickin huge though.

Same here. About 2013 I was driving from BR out here a couple times a week for my son's rasslin practice off 73. I tried it one night by chance and was blown-away. I was telling people about it b/c I worried it might close down. But people found out about it and they expanded to the new building.

Now we live out here right down the road and eat there at least once a month.

Yep. It's next to Mis Padres and directly across 73 from the worst Popeye's Chicken in the whole world.

What ever happened to Brew-Bacher's Grill? I haven’t been able to get back to Baton Rouge in years, and usually eat Cajun while there, but they used to have a great burger. That was 20 years ago though. Are they still open?
