Went there on Sunday... all of their beer was boring and extremely thin. Plus the space is crazy small... but they probably will get decent to-go business right by Frenchmen St. Their beers needs a LOT of work.
So... they have no business being in the top 10 in Louisiana currently.

BC, SL, abita, CB all above GR. My arse.

The poll was confusing. I wasn't sure if they were asking for best brewery taproom or brewery making the best beers.

Personally Just for me:
Great Raft
Parish
Gnarly Barley
Courtyard
Urban South
Tin Roof
Nola
Bayou Teche
Second Line
Brieux Carre
I've never had the new ones from the Hammond area or some of the new ones in New Orleans and other areas. The gap from 1 and 2 to 3 is bigger than the gap from 3-5 as well. Then another gap from 5 to 6.

I detect no bias in these results.
Seems like a knowledgeable and representative sample voted. I deem these results acceptable.
ETA: I love that Royal Brewing has been in a soft open for about 26 minutes now and they are already getting votes

I can't remember the last time I had a Covington beer, but Chappapeela recently quit regular brewing.

Yes, and they definitely had voters earlier taken away.

This entire list is fricked minus Gnarly being 2nd

Urban South is way too low. Top 4 in LA easily. Their grapefruit IPA is nuts to butts, the best GF IPA I've ever had.

I hit great raft yesterday and had a great time. Loved oceans and had a special small cask of El Dorado dry hopped grace and grit.

Damn must be a lot of OT posters doing the voting.

Gnarley Barley, Urban South, Bayou Teche, and Courtyard have really been charging hard, recently, though, and most people probably don't know them that well.
Who gets the "Most Improved" award for the first half of 2017?

Without being too biased... Tin Roof or Urban South.

Did Bayou Teche come out with something good ?

You're right. I thought they came out with a decent IPA recently, but I'm mistaken.
Just in the last month or so, it's been hard to keep track of all of the good beers that have been coming out from the local breweries - either brand new beers or just upgrading older beers by revamping the recipes.
