You're right. I thought they came out with a decent IPA recently, but I'm mistaken.
I think Swamp Thing is decent enough, though I liked their Belgian IPA better.
BT gets shite on here, but Loup Garou is a legit good stout, the honey ale aged in whiskey barrels is good, and the Ragin Cajun beer basically turned into their Canebrake, being it was a hit with usual BMC drinkers who want to support local craft beer but don't like all the "weird" stuff.

There's nothing wrong with Bayou Teche... there's just nothing outstanding about them either.

Y'all here they opened a brewery today in New Orleans east? That seems like an odd location unless they are mass producing and needed real estate.

I actually stopped at Bayou Teche on Sunday. They had a 3XDH (Simcoe) version of LA31 on draft. It was laughably bad. It was the color of the Bayou Teche and tasted less pleasant. I'll see if I can find the pic I took. Even the person I was with, hardly a beer snob, said it was undrinkable.
Place was pretty, but I guess the wind was coming from the wrong direction so it smelled like cow shite
We had a good laugh, at least.

They are banking on the Tip's amphitheater. That area is still sketchy. Wish I didn't have to worry about getting robbed trying to launch at Seabrook.

I might be blind and/or dumb, but where is the link to the poll in the article? I've looked on my computer and phone and can't find it.

You're recap of Bayou Teche is essentially the same experience I had a few weeks ago. Whatever dry hopped LA 31 they had then tasted like they dumped perfume into the fermenter.
Dead on accurate.

Holy shite. No wonder breweries in the area are in no hurry to improve.

So Brieux Carre officially "won".
