Super casual, but I recently went to Biscuits & Buns on Banks and thought it was fantastic. I got french toast. In between two pieces (like a sandwich) was caramelized bananas and pancetta bacon. They had a grilled brie on waffles with blueberry compote that sounded good. The wife got the special which was a crab cake eggs benedict. Highly recommend.

Went to Toast Monday morning and it was great. Had Live Oak Cafe Saturday morning and it was also very good. Had the hangover. Both very casual neighborhood joints.

My vote is for Surrey's. Never had a bad meal there -- their Bananas Foster French toast is insanely good.

My favorite is Brennan's, but it's very pricy.

Wish I could say Blue Bird, but it ain't dere no more.

Great suggestions, however..

There's also Cake Café, on Chartres in the Marigny. If you want to walk a bit. It's at 2400 Chartres and the cinnamon rolls alone are worth it.

In Mid-City/LV in no particular order:

Ruby Slipper
Russel's Marina
Katie's
Lakeview Brew
Pizza NOLA (didn't know they had breakfast until recently, but great value and good portions)
