Shoney's on College.
If you want to fight me about this, meet me at the old Shoney's parking lot on College. Pretty sure it's a Panda Express or some shite now.

Fairway View had some decent food. Silvermoons breakfast when it was on Chimes Street was amazing

Chalet Brandt- might have been the only Michelin 3 star in BR at the time?
I certainly never went there and don't recall even seeing it. Where was it? Do you know when it closed?

Back in the day, Shoney's wasn't bad at all. That was before they added that nasty arse greasy breakfast buffet.

It was located where the Velvet cactus is located (maybe the exact same property, if not, real close.) Probably closed in the 90's.

Mirror Steak House was really a hidden gem back in the day

There was a bonanza in Baker by the old Sears store. It was a treat to go on a Friday night.
Also, the Seafood cabin in Baker on Dyer Rd. It burned several years ago but had great shrimp and catfish.

Yep. I worked at Outback Steakhouse in 94 and the waiters would brag about taking dates to Chalet Brandt.
It was by far Baton Rouge's nicest restaurant, Jacket Required and all.
