Anyone been to Bergeron’s Boudin and Specialty Meats in Gonzales? I had to come here briefly for work and saw it. Anything worth getting?

The smoked wings and boneless thighs are awesome.

The smoked boudin is pretty good. Also the chicken cracklin.

Big fan. They were hit or miss when they first opened, but seem to have worked out all the kinks since then.
Smoked chicken thighs are excellent
Big fan of the pistollettes
Smoked boudin is solid
Smoked chicken patties are goat when available
Plate lunches are killer, especially the ribs
Quacklins are addictive as all get out

Thanks for the suggestions!
Best things I tried were the wings, thighs, and boudin egg roll

I agree with this guy. Theirs smoked meats are average on their best day. Haven’t tried some of the other suggestions.

Guess I need to try it again on boudin from reading down below. Was not a fan except for quick plate lunches while traveling on business. I always liked Ronnie’s and Jerry Lee’s better when I’m purchasing in the Baton Rouge area.

They do a good job with their boudin, boudin balls, and jalapeño cheese sausage. But I’ve only been to the Port Allen location and have heard more than one complaint about the Gonzales location.

whatever you do, do not walk in that place hungry.

The Gonzales one is way better than Port Allen. Grab some armadillo eggs and ribeye wraps.

Just recently had their boudin and boudin balls. Pretty good. Still prefer Billy's, but it was good enough to not make the trip towards laffy the day before christmas eve for the freezer back home.

Hebert's is better
My brother went to Hebert's in Baton Rouge on Sunday for some stuffed chickens and other things. Not a chicken to be found. He said the freezers and fridges were all pretty bare. They told him they'd sold out of nearly everything.
