Edit... ribs when they are right but harder to find good meaty ribs compared to good brisket where I shop.

Not if done right. Brisket for the win.

Can't go wrong with either
Personally prefer beef ribs but a marbled brisket cooked right is tough to compete with

Ribs. Everyday. It’s pretty much brisket but more forgiving.
One of my absolute favorite things to cook and/or eat. Albeit rarely.

Finding good ribs is difficult. I like both but do brisket more often. Now that regular roasts are coming back down in price I actually prefer a good chuck roast... but for a crowd it is brisket.

I have cooked both a lot, but prime brisket has always drawn more "OMG this is fantastic" comments from me and guests.

Who has decent beef ribs in Baton Rouge. My neighbor always gets them at Costco

Dino Ribs all day if you can find them. Plate Ribs are good just don't have much meat on them.

My last meal on earth would be Smoked Beef Ribs from Terry Blacks BBQ
Much more flavor than brisket

This, the ones at Costco seem to be plate ribs and they just don’t look like they have enough meat. Where are people finding the “Dino” ribs or do you use the short ribs?

Ribs at Costco should be short ribs/plate ribs
Back ribs are the less meaty ones

Iverstine’s. Call them tomorrow and they’ll butcher some out of the next cow they process.

Yes, sir. They had a really nice 5 bone rack, around 5 lbs and choice. Smoked it to 205, 6 hours. Fantastic.

Beef ribs >>>> pork ribs
If you find a local butcher shop with the Dino style cut and smoke them with the 3/2/1 method?
Not sure there is a better dinner at any price point.

Brisket point > Beef Plate Ribs > Brisket flat

Easily beef ribs. Beef cheeks over it all.

Try it like this some time:
-3hrs seasoned on the smoker @180, spritz with water/Worcestershire sauce 1x/hr
-2 hrs wrapped in foil with bbq sauce drizzle above and below and spritz with water/Worcestershire @210
-1hr remove foil and cover in bbq sauce @210
You get the smoke flavor up front, the tenderness from the foil and the grill bbq finish. Big fan.
