Trying to start a thread of places that are open, but people may (or have) thought we’re closed due to the current order closing down bars.

Ones I know:

Old Rail Brewing Co - Mandeville*
Abita Brew Pub - Abita Springs*
Blackened Brew - Hammond*
Bulldog - Baton Rouge
Olive-or-Twist - Baton Rouge
Bacchanal - New Orleans
Columbia St. Tap Room - Covington

*Operating as close to normal as can be expected (bar seating available, normal menu. etc....)

I was at Old Rail the other day and they were getting a few calls asking if they were open, so I figured I’d start the public service announcement.

Mid City Beer Garden - Baton Rouge
The Chimes - all locations

Glad to see Bacchanal is back open. We were in New Orleans in early June and it was still closed. Kinda surprised because they have that big courtyard and they're a wine store.

Bacchanal is operating, but reservations outdoors only and using a wine list instead of the store. It’s actually really smooth though if you get a table and it’s nice out. You have a 2 hour limit before they’ll kick you out.

I’ll also add - Parleaux Beer Lab is open for take out cans. You can’t drink them on the premises but you can by the tree/tracks across the street.

Just passed Mid-City Yacht Club on S. St. Patrick St. in N.O. and they have tables set outside and appear to be open for take-out and outside seating only.

Too damn hot to sitting out in the sun no matter how cold the beer is today.

Lol this may or not be a good idea. Who knows how many of these might get shut down soon thanks to JBE.

Why? They are legally allowed to be open if they meet the criteria

These are all legally open. But, these are places that people might think/assume are closed, because they either are closer to a bar when things are normal, or might look like a bar to the casual viewer (places with brewery, pub, etc...in their name).

Bacchanal is having some kitchen issues. They got a new chef and its not near the level that it used to be. Hopefully, time will allow it to work itself out.

Why? They've always seemed busy when I've gone. I haven't been since COVID hit, but I assume business isn't "normal" for anyone.
