The way I see it is if the “experts” say no more than 2 drinks a day for a guy and 1 for a woman that that means 2-4 a day is ok if it doesn’t mess up your job, health , relationship and you don’t drive after drinking and you stay relatively otherwise healthy and eat right.

We drink 3-5 bottles of wine per week.
I will have a martini once a week.
Maybe a couple of beers some weeks and some weeks no beer.

1 drink a week average when not going to the pool.

When neighbors congregate at the pool, it could be 4-8 in a day.

I'd say about 100 a week depending on circumstances. But I'm working on cutting back.

Up until about 2 months ago I was averaging 40 drinks (a 5th of bourbon and a case of beer) per week, mostly on the weekend. Now I'm drinking about a 6 pack per week and feel a lot better. Eating a hell of a lot more, though

2-3 glasses of wine / night. Weekend - likely a bottle/night + cocktails or beer depending on activity.

Sunday- Depends on what I have to do Monday.

I do the same thing. I was curious as to what the average is of actual drinking, not what Dr is told. I’m happy for those who don’t drink and happy for those who do. Not looking to judge or be nosey. It’s a voluntary forum.

Why are you happy for alcoholics?

I don’t judge. A person has the right to run his/her own life so long as it doesn’t adversely impact others. I know many people who are probably alcoholics but function fine and don’t drink and drive and if so it’s NOMB.

Similarly I don’t care if others hate others who do this of that that they don’t approve of, so long as they keep their opinions to themselves.

Let he who is w/o sin cast the first stone….

This number varies wildly for me. It could be 4 in a week, or 4 in a single night. On average, probably 14-16 drinks per week.

ETA: estimating 4 drinks on Friday and Saturday, 2 drinks each on 3-4 other days of the week.
