Heading to Austin this week for work. Gonna do BBQ one night, looking for something upscale for the other. Any recommendations?

Lenoir - this is a small house that the owners converted into a boutique eatery. The pre fix menu changes as frequently as the weather. Everything we ate was kick arse. Here is the menu and the items we ordered were:
Appetizer - kazu sesame bread
Field - toasted almond & chevre mezzalune
Sea - peach ceviche
Sea - royal red shrimp curry
Sea -oilve oil poached fish
Land - 5-sprice fried quail
Land - antelope heart
Outside beer garden to relax before/after your meal. We ate dinner at 7pm, as this was the only timeslot available. the restaurant only holds about 20 people.
Inside of the restaurant.

Good suggestions already:
Jefferey is a classic
Le noir
Olamaie
Uchiko for sushi
Emmer and rye
Backspace or Buffalina for pizza
Juniper
Suerte for amazing Mexican
Salty sow
The brewers table
Justine’s
There is so much good food in this town, these are a starter pack. Enjoy!

I agree with this. All the other places suggested are great too but Otoko is another level.

I would just say avoid places on 6th for the most part.
Went to Launderette not too long ago and it was really good.

It’s not upscale per se, but Moonshine is a cool place with good food.

I've never been a big fan of moonshine but the last two times I went the food was awful. Last time I went with 2 friends who love the place. They were just as disappointed and threw away half of their entrees.
