Yeah I don't understand why some people in this thread taking sides so seriously.

I've had Rob's BBQ a few times. It was really good. But yeah his social media ramblings and business history is undeniable.

I tried to have some of Arabi's bbq, via Aporkalypse booth at Hogs, but when I went there, they were serving hot dogs and nachos.

I'm in Houston now and conditioned to awesome brisket from BBQ places like Truth, Feges, Killens, Willows.

But I'll try the CCBBQ again when I'm in NOLA again soon.

Dang, MD, this thread turned ugly. It was fun to get the recipes, but now, it's just a poo poo show. If I was the owner of Central City and my employee/pitmaster, chef, whatever got on here with those posts, he would no longer work for me. Craziness. Seems that bbq folks get into trouble on social media.

You bet. I’m no expert, but with most stuff like grills and ovens and smokers, there’s a learning curve and a break in period. Once you get through that, you get a nice groove for a long time. Those pits would still be in a sweet spot

It’s a bad look for CCBBQ for sure. They made a big announcement that they hired a new pitmaster. Then he struts into TD, starts running his mouth, when he hasn’t done anything yet. All the while he’s making it clear who he is and who he works for, and by extension who is gonna look like shite bc of his posting

Neither one of them looked good here. It's a little sad, actually, to see what are supposed to be professionals in their field bickering like teenage girls on here.

If I were the owner of CCBBQ, I'd have a serious talk with my employee about staying away from crap like that. Although Rob seems to be safe in that department.

Rob lasted 3 months at CCBBQ for the same reason

People are thin-skinned.

I wonder why some savvy wealthy entrepreneur doesn’t open up a barbecue place with a rotating cast of pitmasters.

Sounds like it would be way too draining to do full-time but for a week or two a month?
