I know in Arky there are places called Slim Chickens. They are OK but not Cane's. Only plus is they sell beer.

Hard to believe there isn't a gas station in BR that sells fried chicken.
Some of the best fried chicken in the USofA comes from country gas stations. And Popeye's.

After hunting through a lot of north MS, I know what your confusion is about this part of LA and not enough good gas station fried chicken.
There are good places, scattered around, but never any good ones in the middle of a city like Baton Rouge or New Orleans.
