Celebrating our anniversary on Friday and need a place for dinner. Looking for something a little different than Cafe V, Marcello's, Mazen. Any ideas? wouldn't mind driving a little ways if it is worth it.

Definitely recommend Mazen but the one time I went it felt as if I was in my grandparents house trying to have a nice dinner.

This place and i'monelli are the two places I can say that I have never had a bad meal there.

Pamplona downtown. Very intimate and cozy. The menu is great and the drinks are fantastic.

Pamplona. Or you can call Lonnie at Shade Tree and tell him you're wanting to have an anniversary dinner. And he can hook you up with a full course meal experience.

Second Shade Tree if you want it catered at home. Food is delicious.

Go eat crawfish at Big John's in Erath and have a beer.

I don’t think you can go wrong with any place on your list.

Out if the 3, I would pick Cafe V.

A friend ate at Cafe Josephine recently and really enjoyed it. I haven't been there, but my parents also went several times and loved it.

But don't engage in hanky-panky afterward if you do!!!

Nash's in Broussard is good, especially since your wife's not a big steak person.

I like Cafe Josephine, and Cafe Sydnie Mae in Breaux Bridge, too.

I follow it on FB, but I haven't known anyone who went there (other than you, now).

I would recommend Cafe Sydnie Mae in Breaux Bridge also. Phenomenal pork chops and atmosphere!
