If I die I will let Ms Darla know and she will pass information on to the rest of you.

This will probably take a week to work its way out.

You mean the recovery or word of your death? And if you take the big sleep can I have your tater tots?

Dr. gave me dilaudid for a broken collarbone once-washed it down with a Budweiser and slept for 27 hours. Good stuff.

Gallbladder isn't a bad recovery, specifically if they scope it and the liver can produce the bile for digestion. Good luck with the surgery. I'll buy my own tater tots in the meantime.

Hang in there MD, all will be fine! We're all sending positive thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

Darla, if the old fart dies, please let us know asap. Some of our memories are getting shorter, it would be a shame to forget who MD was...

Gallbladder isn't a bad recovery

Not at all. I went in at 5 am and was out the door by early afternoon. Hurt so little that I was able to keep plans I had with friends later that night.

Opiates are a hell of a drug.

Speedy recovery, MD!

Good luck, and no matter what, follow the diet they tell you, and don't try anything fatty or greasy for several months, if you do you will regret it

You'd better get well soon. I'm sure your wife (MNPWFJGH??), will have plenty of chores waiting for you when you get home. Daddy told me to never marry a southern woman, cause they'll work you to death. Her family is all from Mississippi so I feel for you brother. God bless y'all.

Anybody know what the recovery time for gallbladder surgery is? I've not seen MD on FB since he posted here, on Feb. 4th. *worried*

Most people can return to normal activity 7-10 days after surgery

Here is a cellphone update from the comfort of my sixth floor heart section bed.

They were able to get my warfarin INR level lowered enough by giving me multiple doses of vitamin k to do surgery on my gallbladder by Friday of last week and they did. Unfortunately the thing had gone septic and after removing it they had a patient with a spiked temp and a very sore infected belly. I went from Tuesday until Sunday with no food intake. Was simply too painful. I had dehydrated by the time I got to the hospital and it took a while to get my blood veins back. In the past week I have been stuck maybe four times a day for blood tests and had the fourth catheter placed today. I am a mess but am also a lot better than a week ago. Since Wednesday of last week I have been on heparin and cipro antibiotic via IV my PT-INR currently is at 1.28 after three days of therapy. It must get to 2.5 to 3.5 before I can leave. My temp was 100.2 tonight but I think when my warfarin gets right they will let me go home. Maybe two or three days from now.

That's all I got. Hospital food sucks. Have to re-learn how to eat with no gall bladder.

Hang in there Dog.

I saw some news today that if Bernie wins in November, he's gonna take some of the football championships from Alabama and share them with schools like Mississippi State that don't have any.

Get well soon.

Positive vibes and prayers your way, MD. I'm sure the BNKGDARYIO wife will fix you up with good food you can eat without the gallbladder.
