Good old fashioned hot dogs....the buffalo ones from Costco, with some venison chili, potato salad, and fresh peaches & vanilla ice cream. Probably homemade hot dog buns, too.

Mmmmm... everyone saying potato salad. Didn't consider that and may have to add it to the list!

Sprouts

I went there Sunday morning. Got to the checkout and the girl's t shirt said "Every day I'm brusselin'" on the back. I almost walked out on the spot!

Probably grilled steaks, hamburgers, and hot dogs.
I'm still worn out from the weekend, but come Thursday, I will be ready.

Just some burgers and dogs by the pool Thursday. No cooking plans yet the rest of the weekend, but likely will keep it pretty low key.

potato salad

When it's so hot outside, I really like having some cold side dishes to go with my meals.

Potato Salad
Coleslaw
Pasta Salad
Creole Tomato and cucumber salad
The wife makes a cold corn salad

Seems like we are keeping it simple. Hot dogs and sliders for the most part. My niece is marching in a parade that morning so nobody really wants to cook anything that takes effort. I may prepare some bacon wrapped shrimp the day before/early in the morning. I am just unsure if that is a good idea as I generally like to cook the bacon a little before wrapping the shrimp and cheese.

Swinging through Prasek's Hillje Smokehouse in Sealy on my way back to Austin Wednesday. Going to try to keep the spending in check, but that will be difficult at that store in preparation of America’s birthday.

I didn't read their shirts so I didn't notice that
The meat and produce prices were pretty great though! Close to my work so I'll probably frequent there regardless

I am pushing my BBQ plans to Friday evening. I have a full rack of pork ribs that I’m going to throw on the grill with a pineapple BBQ sauce. I haven’t decided what I will make on the side.

Chicken leg quarters
Sausage (any recommendations?)

Probably potato salad and some type of tomato dish as sides

I think I may smoke a pork butt, and also do some hot dogs.

Bon Appetit posted this Sour Cream and Onion Potato Salad recipe last week, and all of the comments from people who made it say its awesome. I think I'll give it a try.
