I sent the guy(Jeff)an email, haven't heard back from him yet. I know his job keeps him busy. I'll have to look for my his phone number I have written down in an old notebook somewhere. Had it in the phone but his was one of those I lost when the cell phone crapped out on me a while back. I'll give it some more time.

Can someone summarize this group buy? Second time it's been referenced this week. Do they offer a discount for bulk purchases?

They do not offer anything like that at Primo or BGE if you call and talk with them...

I have had the exact grill in your picture for over a year. I would buy it again in a heartbeat. Paid $599 at Sam's. This past weekend I purchased the Pit Boss version of the Kamado at Costco for my dad....paid $399 and it is the 24" (slightly bigger than my Vision).

I went by Costco to see it and wasn't overly impressed...seemed cheaply made and the back hinge was wobbly. Later after doing some research I saw multiple positive posts about the Pit Boss and some actually said the Costco employees that assemble the grill did a less than stellar job. So I went back to Costco and checked the grill out again and that is exactly what the problem was. Many of the nuts were barely hand tightened. I bought it on the spot (Saturday) and put it together that afternoon at my Dad's.

The ceremic and fire bowl are comparable to my vision. The cart/stand is better made on the Pit Boss. The double decker stainless grill seems a little heavier on the Vision than it does on the PB.

For the price of the PB i'd say it's a no brainer.

Note: The online price is $599 on Costco site, but the local stores have an additional $200 coupon that they apply.

So they did or someone (you?) had an inside deal? I have a primo so I'm not trying to get in on anything. No need to be fricking coy and weird about it.

Looked into the pit boss but that deal seems to be dead. Still might get it over the vision since it's a bit bigger cooking surface

Maybe the guy he got 'em from could get in trouble for selling them below retail?

Lack of seal on the bottom lets the Akorn get up temp real fast! Just did some farewell filets and they were perfect

My Akorn is dying a slow death right now too. I bought it to insure I wanted a ceramic grill and after using the Akorn, I absolutely do. I equate them to a charcoal/ wood oven, they are that accurate when you dial in the temp. The Akorn just leaves a lot that could be improved. Interested in any advice to buying one even if it doesn't involve the Cajun mafia...
