For all my fellow Lake Charles residents who have been looking for this brew with no avail, rest easy my friends. Hocus Pocus Liquor on Country Club Rd. has about 8 cases. I just picked up 6 bottles and can't wait to try it tonight. This is the first place I know of in LC to have it in stock so get it while you can and enjoy

Yeah whole foods had a ton last time I went (a week or so ago). Matherne's on highland also had a good amt about a week ago.

I had picked up 4 since they were only about $5.50. Had one during the game. Tasted pretty much exactly like turbo dog. Was a little smoother and had something else in the aroma, which I'm assuming is the vanilla. I'm going to try the next bottle side by side with a turbodog.

My buddy and I had one during the game Saturday night. I have to say I was a bit disappointed. As a previous poster said, it tasted just like Turbo Dog.

I threw my receipt away but I paid $29 and change, tax included, for 6 bottles.

maybe it was $4.50. I just remember it was around 5 bucks a bottle. Cheap compared to some of the stuff I've been buying lately, but I understand b/c, while it may be a good beer, it's nothing outstanding.

I really enjoyed it. It was similiar to Turbodog, but not exactly the same. It was above average for me and I'll be buying more. Worth a try for sure.

It was just ok to me. I thought it was fine but very underwhelming.

I think someone on here posted that it was better than the Terrapin/Schmaltz Reunion Ale. I would strongly disagree with that.

I have some of this in the fridge, I'll have to try it out soon and compare.

That was me. I personally liked it better than the Reunion '11. Thought the vanilla was more prevalent in the Abita version. At $4 vs. $7, the Terrapin/Shmaltz one wasn't appreciably better than the Abita.

But that's just my opinion. I still have a couple of the Reunions that I'm saving for colder weather, and maybe I'll like it better then than when I tried it on a 100 degree August day.
