Abita Brewing has jumped TF out of the shark

Now available 24/7/365
I’m not much of an Abita fan in general....they simply can’t hang with most of the younger Louisiana breweries in terms of making great beer. But Strawberry Lager was one of my gateways into the beautiful world of excellent craft beer I know now. And it’s a brew I still absolutely love to this day. In fact, it’s my favorite lager.
But the seasonal aspect of it is one of its greatest draws for me. Spring and strawberries and overindulgence of my favorite lager are here for several months. Then gone....while I move on. And I look forward to it’s return every year when my world turns green again.
You were easy to love, then you called me every day.

Beer company is in business to make good beer and make money. They make a good beer and decide to sell it year-round to make more money, and you have a problem with this why?

Which is why they've grown so much right?
I mean we all know good breweries go out of business and dont make it big.

This is usually my go-to when I'm out and order a beer.

This is tongue in cheek right?

I'm not sure you understand what the term 'jumping the shark' means.
It's obviously in demand enough for them to make this a flagship. I am betting this will kill it through about October - then slow up a bit when it's mild out until about mid-February when it's time for another Louisiana harvest.
There are a few Abitas I keep in rotation - Strawberry, The Boot and Purple Haze.

This is a woman's beer. Drink The Boot.

Tastes like Malibu Hop on
I had it out of the bottle the first time and did not like it at all, but that was after drinking a hop bomb.
I went back to the remaining five in the 6-pack and drank them all in a row on a pretty hot day. That being said, it's not my thing, but I can see some people liking the Pina Colada IPA.
As for juicy IPA or pale ales, they do need to step that game up. Hop on is pretty average.

Dude, it's sweltering in Louisiana until mid-December. This will do well 80% of the year.
