Not a joke, we got up to Stowe, VT at the arse crack of dawn on a Friday (they only deliver on Fridays) and waited for the delivery truck at it's first designated stop. We then proceeded to follow it from location to location and purchase HT from every single place we could. Funny thing was, there was a group of us that were doing this, so it almost became a party at each stop.
The stores only allow people to purchase one 4-pack per person (a few allowed 2 per person), and there were 2 of us in the car. So 48 cans was literally the most they would let us purchase.
The Focal Banger isn't even for sale to individuals yet (or maybe it is now, not sure, but it wasn't at the time). We made friends with the owner of a bar and he traded a FB for a coffee stout from Boston I happened to have in my car at the time.
EDIT: Which, by the way, this story should definitively prove that this statement

one thing I'll note is that all of those are relatively easy to obtain.
is utterly stupid nonsense.

That's awesome. Gotta respect the dedication.
Did yall know where the first stop would be, or did you get lucky?

My friend also sent me this picture just the other day. Going by his house on Sunday to enjoy a few.

Oh we definitely called The Alchemist ahead and asked. We felt a bit insane doing it, but clearly the person who answered the phone has had to field that question more than once.

agree that focal > heady.
i remember reading somewhere that there is/was a website someone created that has the delivery trucks exact route, and people would update delivery times.

I think you are right about that, but we called just to be safe.

Places here are getting away from the shite show of selling tickets and publicizing it. The regulars weren't getting any with the long lines, and whatnot. Most of the places that get it just informally tell their regular customers when it will be on tap and don't even list it on their boards. You have to know to ask for it.
Better for business imo.

I just finished my first pack of Two Hearted Ale. Its one im difinetly keeping in the rotation.
I'm not saying where it belongs on the list, but it's damn good. Im not as knowledge about beer as most people on here, but I've had many on that list.

What an oddly aggressive and unnecessary defense of a beer brewed in California by someone who says he's from Texas.

No kidding. Why get your regulars pissed at you? Or have a shitshow of mavens overwhelming your place and shoving the regulars aside?

FYI. The alchemist brewery is opening to the public in early July. They are gonna sell Heady and Focal.
So I think the days of chasing it around Stowe are gonna be over soon.

Its not that Lunch is 49, the problem is the beers in front of it.

These lists are literally never good.
I did appreciate the Joel McHale video, though. I like him more now.
