There are very stringent requirements to being New Orleans. Old Metairie automatically precludes you.

Old Metairie never excludes anyone for the record...as long as you are rich and white, of course.

I got you for Lake Charles. Since BR is under represented with one, it's more like .5 Lake Charles, 1.5 Baton Rouge committee members.
I can do both!
J/K, your contest and am happy to participate

That most likely describes TulaneLSU...

I dont know why it closed.. It was in the Opelousas area. Best crawfish enchiladas I have ever had.. I was able to get the recipe though and still use it. Has to be 4000 calories but its good for once a year. Not associated with K-Pauls she just ran her own place.
Belizairs was another gem.. Nice cajun restaurant in Crowley. Last good thing Crowley ever had.

Deuce almost bought the house across the street my friend at Iona and Geranium, which is actually next door to my cousin's house. Think he might have felt out of place.

Thank you to high paying job that I work seven days a week at, Lester.
I think you should go hang out at the corner of Jackson and Annunciation tonight since its so safe.

Still need three committee members. One from Lafayette, Northshore, and Shreveport/Monroe/Alexandria. Nominate yourself or someone else, who must accept the nomination.

I'd like to volunteer my services for the New Orleans area. Although there are some well qualified folks already signed up. Let me know how I can help. Sorry TA, but we can't have any of you suburbanites on the New Orleans proper committee.
ETA: Nice thread.

I nominated you for NO. This should be fun.
Posted on 3/25/09 at 2:34 pm to clooneyisgod
I will be happy to take the Westbank and Northshore as well....though I believe hen would do the best job for the Northshore.
NOLA proper is obvious...I enjoy a good challenge...honestly, da Piero is in the top 10-20 restaurants in this state, IMO. Also, perhaps the greatest single dish in NOLA resides firmly in Metairie at Drago's.
NOLA proper people: Talk all you want, but this city would crash without Old Met/Met/Northshore...no Saints, no Hornets, no downtown workforce.
I will due my best to represent Old Metairie well...since it is in fact the best area to live in the NO Metro area...or at least third behind the GD and Warehouse District.

This is very true, and I was kidding. You represent the GNO area well.
And my hours are going to suck this week.

Glass, I appreciate the nomination too.
So three people are doing NOLA along with all of its suburbs??
Posted on 3/25/09 at 2:40 pm to BrockLanders
Looks like you have to reside in Orleans to do Orleans. Did you see my response to the Clancy" lunch thread? On page two.

Hmm you are going to put that ahead of a dish from Central Grocery?
Posted on 3/25/09 at 2:43 pm to BrockLanders
Brock Landers is heading the suburbs. Tiger Attorney is now the Northshore committee member, who probably will assist with the rest of the region.
We still need one rep from Lafayette and Shreveport/Alexandria/Monroe.
The tepid response from the rest of state does not speak well of their love of food.
