One of the rules has to be no chain restaurants (obviosuly)

but what about places like chimes and zea's?

personally i don't want the chimes on there because its going to get too many votes from the foodtards of BR. in the end the chimes will probably beat stella as best restaurant in the state. and then the gates of hell will open

The Selection Committee determines which restaurants are in the tournament. If they want to include Outback, that's their perogative. The voters should knock them out in the first round.

I think Louisville needs to take Duke's place if you're matching them with Stella/August...

Duke would be more aligned with Galatoire's - long-standing tradition of excellence and all that.

If only one person from the NOLA suburbs participates, it should be you, TA. But feel free to call on me as an outside consultant if you like. I won't bill as exorbitantly as you do.

My vote goes to no more than 3 locations. Anything more than that you are borderline chain. At 3 locations you are just really desired in your area. Guess they have to be still open too.. Otherwise I would love to throw old Belizairs and Enola Prudhomme's place in there as bracket busters..

or Kentucky. best longstanding fan tradition, but the actual product on the plate has been far surpassed by virtually every new power. Yet, Rupp is still a fun place to see a game and it's always packed.

Can we at least make a concession for Pancho's to be team 65?!

I would rather be an at large committee member. I have lived in too many places in LA and still discovering the hole in the wall placed in BR. Plus Im going on a cruise next week anyways.

I think keeping it open to the opinion of the Selection Committee is okay. To prohibit chain restaurants would make outsiders think we're afraid of chain restaurants. I don't think many chains would be nominated in the first place, and those that are will not make it far (except Pancho's, Johnny's, Popeye's, Cane's type places).

I agree with this. 3 local locations sounds about right.

Been doing well glassman. This thread could be one for the ages....

No shite, it is going to make the "raise the flag" thread with "Jesus Lester" seem tame.

There would be a redneck riot if we could not include Johnnys

Tulane,

team me up with Catman for BR. I think BR needs at least 2 people nominating places. for as much shite as BR takes, they do have a nice amount of really good places to eat

and me and catman are super tight!

I got you for Lake Charles. Since BR is under represented with one, it's more like .5 Lake Charles, 1.5 Baton Rouge committee members.

If she is around, hen is solid Not'sho'.

Am I not allowed to particpate in NOLA proper restaurant decision due to my old metairieness? I feel I have some expertise in this field. My bank account would agree.
