agree. they may be short on rice, but they've never been too thin. They're usually like paste.

I feel like the Popeye’s I frequent in Yazoo City, MS, is lost in time. Good biscuits and red beans, as well as GOAT onion rings.

best staff/service I ever experienced from Popeyes was in Forest, MS. Must be the regional mgr.

Anyone remember the original Popeye’s chicken nuggets? I’m guess it was back in the ‘80s. They were kind of small, sort of like Chik-fil-a nuggets in size and shape, but they were both dark and white meat. They were the best nuggets ever. Then they disappeared, then reappeared a few years later but were different (and I think all white meat), then disappeared again for a long time.

They used to have the best nuggets ever. They were so good.

I'm not talking about the nuggets they had last year or whatever, I'm talking like 20 years ago. They were so good.

I wish they still had them. Back when they used to give you the chicken in the paper orange tray and a handful of yellow napkins that read, "Love that Chicken!"

The outside of the building was covered in that black, lava stone stuff.

Bring back the nuggets!

Warren Leruth, who ran LeRuth's in Gretna, created the recipeis for Popeyes original biscuits and their red beans and rice.

Does anyone remember Popeyes used to offer a green salad as a side? It was basically shredded lettuce and carrots but the dressing they served with it was very good. It was a vinegarette type dressing.

They used to have an awesome chicken sandwich before they swapped to using tenders for the sandwich.

Also the fries used to be awesome before they swapped to the Cajun fries or whatever.

Seems like there might be some interest in this information so here's a link to Popeye's ingredient list from a few years back. Jambalaya, sandwiches, etoufee, salad, etc.

My former brother in law worked for Al Copeland at Tastee Donuts in Arabi many many years ago. Too bad he didn't stick with him.

Even with green beans (some carbs) this is keto for my purposes. One of the few fast food options I'll eat since I've been on keto - unless I am having a cheat. Then I just eat the fried chicken or taco bell.

They don’t sell enough to keep em stocked

People will bitch about waiting, they’ll bitch about getting some old nasty tenders.

I’ve never gotten bad blacked tenders at least. I’ll wait

Popeye's in my town opened a few years ago and has great service, I wonder if I'm getting the true PP's experience here.
