It’s hard to argue with traditional Cajun dishes and flavorings, and it’s equally hard to argue that Popeyes’ spins on spicy fried chicken, po’ boys, red beans and rice, and jambalaya aren’t a welcome reprieve from the usual ho-hum fast food offerings. But we bet that there’s a lot about Popeyes that you don’t know!

Here's something I do know: their biscuits used to be a lot better.

Not sure what happened, but the biscuits were more buttery and moist back in the day.

Here's another one. There's only 1 single Popeyes restaurant with a buffet, and it's in Lafayette.

Their chicken livers are pretty darn good. Hot out of the fryer because they're fried to order.

Their chicken tacos they used to sell were made with leftover chicken from the day before.

I can't stand that woman that does the commercials!!!!!!!!!!!

Definitely used to be better. Now if you let one sit for an hour you could use it as a hockey puck

It's been decades, I did not care for them. Why eat a chicken taco when you can eat chicken?

In he beginning the biscuits were these cathead sized drop biscuits that had an incredible crust. They moved to cut biscuits when they started serving b'fast, still great biscuits. Now they are a shadow of their former self.

So are the blackened tenders, which are shockingly good.

And when Coachchappy meets his weight loss goal, you’ll find him dipping his spicy wings into his red beans until he explodes.
