If he could be a 36% 3 point shooter he would be the perfect 3 for us

Off an on. He got schooled several times. It was a step, but I would say that he wasn't awful, not "decent".

Completely agree. If we could consistently get this from him, at least it wouldn't feel like such a waste.

Those back to back wide open 3’s in 4th that he missed are the types of shots that kill us...

This is probably the most frustrating aspect to Hill over the years..

I mean no one can accuse the Pels of not having the personnel to help improve a players jumper.

- We are the team that helped AD continually move his game outward and completely rebuilt his jumper.

- We are the team that helped Eric Gordon go from a solid shooter to a prolific one by helping incorporate the sweep and sway mechanics.

- We are the team that helped Tyreke Evans begin to break his bad habits of fading away on every jumper.

- Even if he started slumping again, we also turned a career long-two shooter in Dante Cunningham and made him a three point threat.

I still don’t want him closing minutes over Niko if he can’t hit the backside of a barn that evening. His defense wasn’t THAT good. We’re lucky LAC brain farted and didn’t foul him late and just let us run clock.

Everyone would agree with that, but the situation last night called for it. Niko couldn't hit the backside of a barn, and Solo stepped up today. He pushed the ball off rebounds and steals and made some plays in transition. And he played smart D for the most part, somethign we havne't seen from him since 2017 season.

Solo is an 82% career FT shooter. He's always played the end of games b/c of his defense and ability to make a free throw.
I wouldn't call fouling Payton instead of Solo, lucky, which is what happened last night. If i were the Clips i would have started fouling Payton with 1:30 left everytime he touched the ball.

This. It's great that his D is getting back to where it was, but until he starts hitting 3's (or even layups) at a reasonable clip he's more of a negative than a positive.

they were both WIDE OPEN corner threes...the second one he was unguarded for about 3 seconds. he could have stopped and re-tied his shoes

first one was a miss, second one was a fricking brick that had zero chance. if he makes just one of those (again, wide open shortest threes on the court), the game is over at that point

the point above about shot coaching is a good one...tyreke is the shining example of that. hill has had plenty of time and opportunity to work on his shot

It was nice seeing him sprint after the turnover and make the smart play dishing to AD.

Game 4 vs the Blazers, a guy sitting directly behind me would yell "GET HIM OUT OF THE F**CKING GAME! F**K HE SUCKS GET HIM OUT!" every time Hill came in or touched the ball.

I'm pulling for him to do well just bc of that. Man I hate fans sometimes.

What stood out most to me was he was in the middle of the scrum for several rebounds. He was too short to get any of them, but he was fighting hard for them which I can't recall ever seeing from him.

He was also crashing the boards offensively. Might not have gotten many, or any at all, but the fact that he's putting in the effort to at least try to affect the game every way he can despite his limitations offensively is all i ask.
