The Ringer throwing out this hypothetical that I think we would all do in a second and which is also sort of absurd to think the Thunder and Wiz would agree to:

Pelicans get: Russell Westbrook

Thunder get: Bradley Beal, Jrue Holiday

Wizards get: DeMarcus Cousin

Getting rid of Jrue and getting a resigned Russ to pair with AD? Uh, yeah.

I think all 3 teams get better with that deal oddly enough. I’m sure some picks would have to be involved. OKC is worse off though in the long run when George leaves. It just works because Melo and George play like arse next to Westbrook.

Crews, you should quit your “hinting” and be more open about the coaches and Boogie. I’m sure it’s possible to do that withoutblowingyour sources, if you’re careful. Otherwise, these “hints” are more annoying than anything else.

So sorry you are annoyed. Like I said, there are a ton of you. I'm sure one of you will bump into one at some point.

Milwaukee - maybe you get Jabari and Henson

I'd take that.

Wizards - Porter for Boogie, DC, and Ajinca

I'd take that too, but they wouldn't do that.

quote:

Lakers - could you get Ingram and Deng if they are convinced PG13 and/or LBJ are coming? They have Kuzma too

I just threw up in my mouth.

Heat - For Whiteside

no thanks.

Cousins isn't going anywhere.
We have two really good players, just need a new coach. I dont' want to give up on this pairing just yet. I want a new coach and some smart GM moves to acquire a wing player worth a shite within the next 2 years while getting rid of the shitty contracts we have AND NOT ACQUIRING MORE SHITTY CONTRACTS. I have high hopes.

Crewz hasn't been hinting about the Boogie/coaches stuff. He has straight up said Boogie is not doing what the coaches are telling him to do and they are not Boogie fans. It would not be the first coaching staff to get fed up with Boogie's personality/coachability. Hell half the reason we brought in Rondo was to help manage Boogie.

I cannot imagine why they wuld not have him seeing a sports psychologist. Crewz said they have. I did notice the last game he would start to complain about a call and then realized what he was doing and sprinted back. It looked like a conscious effort like when someone trying to fix their posture realizes they are slouching. It was better, but still problematic and probably causes him to fatigue quicker which leads to sloppier offense by him.

Fixing Cousins is going to be a long term process. A few BSS podcasts ago Ryan suggested that Boogie in the low post is bad and Boogie in the high post is good. So take 4 of his 12 low post possessions a game and shift them to the high post and slowly wean him off of his worst habits that don't optimize his skills.

I really hate that Golden State is our next game, I'd like to build on the team effort we saw in Portland. I do wonder if there isn't some Ewing effect going on now that AD's out because 4 guys were moving off ball more often than not against Portland. If you can get the role players and Boogie into better habits when AD is out, the team will be much better when AD returns.

How about improving rather than fixing? Fixing is a bit ambitious.

Weirdly, the time without AD helps him. Rather than forcing it because he is not guaranteed his touches, he plays within the offense because he knows he is bound to get all the touches (and stats) he could ever want/handle

I guess we gotta have hope he will find some happy medium when AD returns

There have been flashes of what the pelicans can be when boogie plays within himself alongside AD. If they can ever maintain that for 48 minutes, they could beat anybody. Let's hope the time without AD helps

Trade him to Boston for a number 1 pick and one of their swingmen.

It just dawned on me that Boogie experiment has failed and we will lose him this offseason and then loose AD in a couple more seasons. Then we'll lose the franchise to Seattle after Benson dies
