Teams that would be interested in Boogie

Assume the worst. AD is out for a while and the Pels go on a massive losing streak.

Saints season is finally over and Gentry and Dell get canned, interims come in. Entire coaching staff already doesn't like Boogie and let's say Ferry is interim GM (not a fan either)

They decide they are going to move him. Who would be interested? And not just interested in the "sure, we will take him for nothing" but interested enough to give up value?

First off, I am eliminating Cleveland. That all came from third parties. Makes no sense for them to give up Brooklyn pick for a guy who won't even play crunch time against the Warriors. GS would pick and roll you to death

My list

Milwaukee - maybe you get Jabari and Henson

Wizards - Porter for Boogie, DC, and Ajinca

Lakers - could you get Ingram and Deng if they are convinced PG13 and/or LBJ are coming? They have Kuzma too

Heat - For Whiteside

Who else would possibly be interested? You would have to find teams with a need and who think they could keep him/manage him. I think the list would be very short. Who did I leave out?

I like Jabari but the thought of his knee issues with this medical staff make me want to vomit.

There are only non ideal options moving forward with Boogie. Either you trade him for inferior talent, let him walk for nothing, or over pay him. Anybody hoping for a 4th option will be disappointed

The thing I like about the Jabari option is that Jabari won't help you this year and if this team effectively loses both AD and Boogie, they will be awful. Then, you pray for a miracle that Jabari's injuries are behind him, that he and AD bond as Chicago boys, and that whoever you got in the 2018 draft is a stud and all that makes AD stay

Long shot. But again, they are all bad options

Can we just trade this team to Lafayette and rebrand?

Would the powers that be actually approve a Boogie trade?

I like the lakers trade Ingram and Deng. I know Dengs contracts sucks but I like the upside if Ingram and Parkers injury past scares me especially with the pels injury luck.

Demps wouldn't do it. But Demps will be gone the second the Saints season is over.

And I'm telling you, not one coach will fight to keep Boogie

Gut it and total rebuild. Ship out all the Kentucky guys and reset..

1st trade- Davis, Ajinca and Rondo to Boston for Horford, Tatum, Ojeleye and the 2018 LAL pick.

2nd trade- Cousins, Asik and Miller to Washington for Gortat, Mahinmi, Oubre Jr and 2018 2nd round pick.

Cut/Buy out Cunningham. Holiday moves back to PG.

New line-up..

Holiday/Nelson
Oubre Jr/Moore
Tatum/Hill
Horford/Ojeleye
Gortat/Mahinmi

I don't know how to do the fancy splits, but what are Boogie's turnovers per 36 pre Rondo vs. post Rondo? What is the team +/- with AD and Boogie on the floor?

Personally, I wouldn't make any of those trades. I know you hate the guy, but I think that AD/DC have been noticeably improving chemistry wise. Last season, they were mostly staggered and it felt like they were just taking turns doing their thing. DC has been doing a better job finding AD as of late. I do wish we'd run more P&R's with the pair, but I still want to see them get a full season together and see how they're playing post AS break.

Only way I consider trading Boogie is if AD is out for the season, but everything I've seen indicates that he'll be back fairly soon. A few games under .500 with ~60 games left to play, I'm not blowing the team up yet. Solo coming back will help the defense and allow us focus on DC as a backup 4. Asik and Ajinca suck but they're going to at least help keep the AD/DC fresh.

I don't see it. If they're going to fire him pre ASB, then why not do it now? I know ownership/Loomis focus heavily on the Saints, but they aren't THAT oblivious to the Pels. If they're worried about him doing something stupid late, don't Ferry and Loomis have veto rights on trades?

Keep Boogie and trade AD. The best ability is availability.

Why are we more concerned about what the coaches think about Cousins when this league is totally dependent on elite talent? You shouldn’t be trying to get rid of Cousins.

I like picks. Load up on picks for the next 3 or so years and build your fanchise that way, from the ground up around good young talent.

I didn't watch or even follow tonight's game (played pool and watched Wisc/OSU). Absolutely beautiful that Boogie dominated in a win @ Portland without AD.

IMO, you trade Cousins and you pretty much have to be committed to trading AD.

Because you trade Cousins and you just set up another CP3/D-West situation post Chandler trade attempt. Where your star(s) rightfully think you don't have your shite together and you are better off finding a way out. Sure, you can fool yourself into thinking an Ariza tier trade and brining in a new coach will fix it, but it won't. And since Boogie is not fetching another star in a swap, it is unrealistic for AD to get his morale up for Jabari or Porter or Whiteside.
